The briefest report: Maybe the most refined and certainly the most brutally challenging IRR route to date. A last minute reroute saw the removal of one more harrowing climb and descent. Hands down the biggest group ever and without question the most finishers ever (almost HALF). IRR 5.0 also saw the first and so far only female finisher. There were 5 different "easter eggs" hidden along the route ranging from rolls of nickels to halloween candy to 40s to the usual bottle of whiskey on top of Braintree Gap. IRR 5.0 marks the only year, to date, that the promoter has successfully finished the entire route. Mostly official results can be found over here.

Bike: Bone stock Cannondale Slate CX1 with 42mm slicks, 44T single ring and 10-42T cassette.

Route: Named for the Jeep that I came across broken down while scouting the route, rugged is an understatement. IRR 5.0 Jeep Eater.
