Starting the descent of Waitsfield gap

The briefest of reports: After some serious backlash from close friends, we removed Braintree Gap from the ride. Was it too hard? Too weird? We couldn't decide, and when in doubt, throw it out. 2.0 was still invite only, but much looser, bring a friend! In place of Braintree Gap we added in Waitsfield Gap, which it turned out was less than rideable in the early summer. Whoops. After stopping at the Roxbury General Store (a favorite) we got off the map in a BIG way. Adam was dive bombed by a hawk and we were way lost way high up in the Green Mountains. Again, zero finishers. Ride started in Richmond, Vermont. We bummed a ride back to the start after bailing out over Roxbury Gap.

Bike: Full carbon Roubaix Pro with 28mm slicks, compact 50/34 crankset and 11-28T cassette.

Route: We may have gotten a little too ambitious in our route planning this go round, scouting multiple roads in the late winter proved to be poor planning. The original proposed IRR Ultra route was a doozy.
